Syncro Corporation was founded in 1938 in Detroit, Michigan as Syncro Devices, Inc.
Our original business focus was power hand tools, model airplane engines and aircraft parts. In the 1950s, we began manufacturing for the automotive market producing alternators, voltage regulators and magneto ignition coils. In the mid-1950s, we began manufacturing brake controllers and continued to expand automotive product offerings. In 1973, operations were moved to Arab, Alabama facility. The facility was expanded to its present capacity of 110,000 sq. ft. in 1993.
Although Syncro didn’t broadly focus on offering traditional contract electronics manufacturing services (EMS) until the mid-90s, our history includes a long tradition of original design manufacture (ODM) and electromechanical contract manufacturing, in addition to our own OEM automotive aftermarket product lines. Our primary OEM focus has been electromechanical brake controller assemblies. We also manufacture parts for small engines and speed sensors for ABS braking systems.
This legacy of over 70 years of expertise in product development through post-manufacturing support, benefits customers in several ways including:
